CSR and global impact

Driving positive change through education, sustainability and unity

At Regent Global, corporate social responsibility is not an add-on- it is central to our mission. We are committed to making a measurable difference in the world by contributing to three of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4

By innovating and leading in education, Regent Global is seeking to create a more prosperous and equitable future for all. Regent Global supports equal access to affordable technical, vocational and higher education through Regent College London widening participation, Regent Institute Middle East delivering quality technical and vocational education and training, and new digital universities in San Marino (Regent European University) and the United States (Regent American University).

Regent Global supports non-formal education through the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Regent Global CEOs Selva and Tharshiny Pankaj are Chair and member respectively of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Sustainability 70 Steering Group (SG70). Since 1988, millions of young people in more than 120 countries have completed the International Award, building the skills, confidence and resilience they need to support their communities and be ready for the world. Research by PricewaterhouseCoopers valued the Award’s global social impact at USD 1.4 billion in 2023, projected to grow to USD 3.7 billion. Regent Global’s work with SG70 will ensure that those opportunities are open to millions more, achieving an even greater social impact.

SDG 13

Regent Global is contributing to sustainable development goal 13 climate action by:

- reducing the Regent Global’s carbon footprint in the United Kingdom including transitioning to LED lighting across Regent UK campuses, installing energy-efficient boilers at two locations (Southall and Great Titchfield Street) and appointing an agency to produce a detailed emission report.

- reducing the impact of the company’s waste through recycling across UK campus sites and selecting a waste removal company that emphasises sustainability.

- engaging external experts to develop an Environment Strategy including a complete carbon footprint analysis of the UK business.

SDG 16

Promoting peace is of primary importance to Regent Global. The Global Unity Forum and annual Global Unity Dinner promote harmony, uniting organisations and individuals to bring about systematic changes in attitudes, with the ultimate goal of preventing conflict worldwide.
